RedRat Windows Software
RedRat Windows software uses the .NET Framework. This is installed on most PCs, but if not can be installed via Windows Update or directly downloaded from the Microsoft .NET website. The .NET version needed depends on the RedRat application being used and its version - see the bottom of the page to find out more.
All software listed here is freely available to RedRat customers.
IR Signal Database Utility
Used to create, view and validate IR signal databases. Signal datasets can be created
from your remote handsets, downloaded
from the RedRat website, exchanged and stored for use in other applications.
RedRat Scheduler
Schedule IR output events, such as program recording, turning equipment on or off
etc. Also supports the construction of complex events with the macro editor.
RedRat Control
Control PC applications with a remote control. Can also be used in applications
that need a method to output IR signals, such as web servers, PVR software etc.
RedRat3 Command Line Utility
This is a very simple application for command line input and output of IR signals
via a RedRat3.
Virtual Remote
An on-screen, virtual remote control. This is still in beta, and not functionally
complete, but feel free to give it a go and provide us with any feedback.
The irNetBox Manager
Used to install, configure and test irNetBoxes.
The RedRat SDK
Not a software application as such, but once installed on your PC it allows straightforward
use of RedRat hardware in your applications via .NET or COM APIs.
RedRat Applications and .NET Framework Versions
- Application versions 2.X use the .NET Framework V2.0
- Application versions 3.X use the .NET Framework V3.5
- Application versions 4.X use the .NET Framework V4.0
